Jones and Krajewski Earn Repeat ECAC Honors
CENTERVILLE, Mass.—Franciscan University’s Nicole Krajewski and Bill Jones have caught the eye of many this season, displaying superb athleticism at every meet. The cross country runners were recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference a second time this season for their outstanding performances at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference cross country championships.
A sophomore from Battle Creek, Mich., Krajewski captured the individual title for the AMCC women’s 6K championship with a standout time of 23:31. This is her second league title, and her leadership propelled the Lady Barons to their fourth straight conference title.
Krajewski also earned the individual title at last year’s ECAC championship.
Jones captured the individual title at the AMCC championship with an 8K time of 26:53, finishing ahead of his competitors by 1:15. A junior from Green Bay, Wis., Jones led the Barons in earning their second straight team championship.
Like Krajewski, Jones earned the individual title at last year’s ECAC championship.
