Robau Earns AMCC Player of the Week
Steubenville, Ohio — With an undefeated 6-0 record in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, Franciscan University men’s tennis team continues to be recognized by the AMCC for its players' performances. This week, Brian Robau is player of the week.
Robau, a sophomore from Miami, Fla., only lost a combined four games in doubles and singles play last week. Robau and sophomore Paul Jarzynka proved themselves a powerful No. 1 doubles team, shutting out University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, Bethany College, and Mount Aloysius College last week, 8-0.
As No. 2 seed, Robau beat Bethany's James Peterson, 6-1, 6-1, and his Mount Aloysius opponent, 6-0, 6-0. Moved up to No. 1 singles versus Pitt-Greensburg, he defeated his opponent, 6-1, 6-1.
The Baron Tennis takes on Saint Vincent College at home, Thursday, April 12 at 4 p.m.
