Dennis Vince is in his fourth year as assistant coach for the Baron Baseball team.
Vince has an extensive 35 years of experience coaching baseball. Before joining the Barons, Vince coached for 15 years as head coach at Jefferson Community College and two years as assistant coach at Youngstown State University. Before it was Franciscan University, Vince was the head coach for the College of Steubenville for two years.
Vince spent eight years as the coach of the American Legion Baseball at Maynard Post 666, qualifying for 5 state tournament appearances. He served for four years as coach of the Steubenville Stars Semi-Pro Baseball Team and spent one year as the assistant coach in the NCAA Summer Baseball League in New Market, Virginia, as well as one year as assistant coach of the Steubenville 15 year old All Star Team.
Vince spent an impressive 16 years as an Associate Scout for the Colorado Rockies Professional Baseball Team and four years as Associate Scout for the Philadelphia Phillies Professional Baseball Team.
After 35 years, he retired from the Eastern Gateway Community College as a professor within the Engineering Department. He currently lives in Wintersville, Ohio, with his wife of 37 years, Linda. Together they have one son, Michael, living in Chicago.
