ORCHARD PARK, NY – The Franciscan men's lacrosse team swept the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's weekly awards as senior Mike Rosaschi was named the AMCC Offensive Player of the Week and freshman Jerome Harkins was named the Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.
Rosaschi led the Barons to a pair of impressive wins with one of the best weeks in his career. The Pawling, NY native registered 11 goals and 11 assists in the two games. Rosaschi had a career day against Medaille as he scored six goals and handed out seven assists. Rosaschi had a 78.3 shot on goal percentage and surpassed the 100-point mark for his career against Medaille.
Harkins set a single-game record with 22 ground balls against Medaille, finishing the week with 33 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. He won 17-25 face offs and only turned the ball over five times in two games. Harkins has 46 grounds for the season and 16 caused turnovers.
The Barons return to action on Saturday when they travel to Adrian for a 1 pm contest.
