Barons Dominate D'Youville 4-0  

STEUBENVILLE, OH - The Barons soccer team of Franciscan University of Steubenville hosted D'Youville College in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match on Saturday afternoon, winning by a score of 4-0. With the victory, the Barons improved to 5-4 (3-1) on the season.

Steve Duran led the Barons on the day, accounting for 2 of the team's goals. Duran also had 7 shots (4 on goal) and an assist. Christian Bobak had 4 shots (2 on goal) and one goal, while John Paul Williams had 3 shots (1 on goal) and a goal. Goalkeeper Billy Herrmann had 3 saves and no goals allowed. On the day, the Barons outshot D'Youville, 26-5.

"Our boys played with a fire today," Barons assistant coach Johann Marin remarked in a post-game interview. "We had great team spirit out there. D'Youville played well, and they were truly worthy opponents, but we were able to rise to the challenge. We were able to get the entire bench into the game, and everyone played well."

The Barons' next contest is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Penn State-Altoona.
