Barons Fall to La Roche

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Barons soccer team of Franciscan University of Steubenville took on La Roche on Tuesday night, losing 3-2. With the loss, the Barons fell to 7-5 (5-2) on the season.

Tom Allen was the first to score for the Barons, finding the net early in the game. Steve Duran continued his solid performance on the season, scoring the Barons' second goal on the night.

"It was a tough game for us today," Barons coach Tommy Lahey remarked in a post-game interview. "We played a solid game, and may have even outplayed them, but it wasn't enough to get the win. We didn't play our game, and, if we had, I really think that we could have come away with the victory."

The Barons' next contest is on the road this Saturday against Penn State Behrend at 3 p.m.
