    STEUBENVILLE – Franciscan University held its Third Annual Athletic Awards Banquet on Sunday, May 1, which highlighted the accomplishments of Franciscan athletics from the 2015-16 athletic year as well as the spring of 2015.

    Steubenville, OH-The Lady Baron softball team finished their season with two losses against University of Pitt.-Bradford. After the completion of the second game, the team honored their three seniors, Iliana Gonzales, Molly Clarahan and Shannon Starre.
  • Softball Falls in Extra Innings

    Buffalo, NY-After two defeating losses yesterday, the Lady Barons displayed the Franciscan value of not giving up against hosting Medaille. The Mavericks boast a .500 record in the AMCC and are a very competitive team. Coming from behind in the second game, the team was able to score six runs in the fifth inning, holding off Medaille to extend the game to eight innings.
  • Lady Barons Fall to Hilbert

    Buffalo, NY-The Lady Barons made the trip up to New York state dropping both games to host Hilbert College while only scoring one run between the two games. The Lady Barons fell 6-0 in the first game before dropping the night cap 10-1 in five innings.

    STEUBENVILLE - The Lady Baron softball team dropped two conference games to visiting University of Pitt.-Greensburg 15-1 and 12-0. The Lady Barons were able to hold their own until the last innings of the games, improving from five-inning competitions to a complete game.

    ERIE, Pa. – The Franciscan softball team dropped a pair of AMCC contests to Penn State Behrend, Saturday afternoon. The Lady Barons fell 8-0 in the opening game before losing 19-0 in the night cap.

    Steubenville, OH-The Lady Barons faced off against Bethany College at home, dropping both games. The nonconference Bison shutout the Lady Barons 14-0 in the first game, the Barons were able to reign in their opponent to half the runs of the first game falling 7-1 in the second contest.

    STEUBENVILLE - As Franciscan University and the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference continue its celebration of Division III Week, the AMCC has announced the 2015-16 Academic All-Conference Team. FUS is represented by 109 of its student-athletes that compete in the AMCC, 63.95%, and has been named the Institutional Peak Performer.

    Steubenville, OH- The Franciscan softball team fell to Penn. St-Altoona in a pair of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conferece games this afternoon. The Lady Barons struggled to put runs on the boardas the visitors won 12-2 in the first game and 10-0 in the nightcap.

    Steubenville, OH-The windy weather factored into the Franciscan softball doubleheader against D’Youville as the visiting Spartans outscored the Lady Barons 33-2 between the two games and hit seven homeruns. D’Youville is projected to win the AMCC conference this season and have started out their conference play 4-0.

    Waynesburg, Pa. - The Franciscan softball team returned to the field after spring break competition to face the Yellow Jackets and even with tough pitching, errors and runners left on base led to a pair of losses for the Lady Barons. Waynesburg took the first game 9-4 before winning the nightcap, 9-3.
