Lady Barons Continue to Fight a Losing Streak

STEUBENVILLE, OH - Franciscan University of Steubenville Lady Barons lost their 6^th consecutive game 51-32 against Medaille College Lady Mavs on Wednesday night. This also marks the 6^th consecutive game Franciscan has shot below 35 percent, now averaging 32.6 percent for the season. The Lady Barons are being outshot on average 57.5 to 41 points.

Freshman guard Kristen Belleque led the Lady Barons with 9 points however would not be enough against Medaille Guards Carissa Ferrucci and Mameyaa Ankomo-Mensa who contributed 13 and 10 points respectfully.  

The Lady Barons did come out on top defensively grabbing 41 total boards over the Lady Mavs 30.  Sophomore Marian Weber led the game with 10 rebounds while sophomore teammate Angel Cupit contributed with 9.

Franciscan will continue searching for a way to break this losing streak as they travel to compete against AMCC 7^th Place Pitt-Bradford on Saturday at 2:00pm.
