BRADFORD, PA – The Franciscan University of Steubenville Lady Barons basketball team took on the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford on Saturday, losing 64-34 to the Lady Panthers. With the loss, the Lady Barons fall to 3-15 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference and 3-19 overall. Pitt-Bradford now holds a 4-0 series advantage over the Lady Barons since they entered the AMCC last season.

Lady Barons Storm Hilbert
STEUBENVILLE – A super snowstorm did not stop the Franciscan University of Steubenville Lady Barons basketball team from sweeping Hilbert College in a 47-34 victory at the Finnegan Fieldhouse on Sunday. The win earns the Lady Barons a third Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference victory, improving to 3-18 in the AMCC and 3-14 overall on the season. This victory marks the second time the Lady Barons have defeated Hilbert this season, completing the series sweep.

Hall of Fame to Induct Basketball, Football Athletes
STEUBENVILLE, OH —The 1981 women's basketball team advanced farther than any other women's basketball team in the history of Franciscan University of Steubenville. Franciscan University will induct the players and coaches of that 1981 team, as well as five male athletes, into the Baron Hall of Fame on Friday, April 16, 2010. (This event was rescheduled from Saturday, February 6, due to inclement weather.)

Lady Barons Look to Improve in 2009-2010 Season
The Lady Barons basketball team of Franciscan University of Steubenville has been hard at work the past three weeks preparing for their upcoming season. Last year’s team finished 4-18 (2-16), but this year’s squad looks poised to make a better showing when their season begins on November 18.
