STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – As the 2011-12 Franciscan University Lady Baron basketball season closes out, what was remembered most was not wins and losses or points scored. Instead, the shining attribute of the season was the unfaltering Lady Baron determination. The year-end results, 3-21 overall and 3-15 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, do little justice to the Lady Barons’ persistent improvement and constant good attitude.

Friday’s game one on for the Lady Barons was a 62-54 loss versus Chatham, followed by a Saturday loss of 61-57 to Penn State Beaver. The Lady Barons now sit 0-3 overall on the season.

The Finnegan Fieldhouse stands were full Wednesday evening as students and community gave a standing ovation to legendary coach Henry J. Kuzma. The new court, aptly named Kuzma Court, was dedicated during the fourth annual community event.
