Luke Heusel
Luke Heusel entered his first season as head coach of the Lady Barons Basketball team in the fall of 2010.
A graduate of Franciscan University in 1996 with a
bachelor’s degree in Biology, Heusel earned graduate degrees
in Human Performance and Health Promotion from the University of
New Orleans (1998) and Physical Therapy from Baylor University
(2000). He served the US Army as a physical therapist from
1998 until 2004 and subsequently completed his Doctorate in
Physical Therapy (DPT) from Baylor University in 2008.
Heusel’s clinical practice has included extensive experience in the training and rehabilitation of the athlete. He has prepared athletes in various disciplines for competition. He currently works as a physical therapist at East Liverpool City Hospital.
An avid basketball player from a basketball family, he played
and assisted with coaching responsibilities for the inaugural
men’s club basketball team at Franciscan1995-96.
Heusel resides in Steubenville with his wife Ann and their four children.
