BRADFORD, PA - The Lady Barons soccer team of Franciscan
University of Steubenville traveled to Pitt-Bradford on Saturday
afternoon, losing 2-1. With the loss, the Lady Barons fell to 4-7-1
(3-3) on the season.
Kelly O'Brien led the Lady Barons of the night with 5 shots (4 on goal) and 1 goal. Lauren Miller had 6 shots (2 on goal), and Tana Vyvlecka had 4 shots (1 on goal). Mackenzie Miller had 2 shots (1 on goal) and 1 goal for Pitt-Bradford, while Sarah Rhinehart had the other goal.
"We had some tough breaks today," Lady Barons coach Johann Marin remarked in a post-game interview. "We had many more opportunities then them, and we dominated the time of possession; however, we were just unable to convert. It was very frustrating, and we look to start a winning streak next week against La Roche."
The Lady Barons' next contest is Tuesday at 2 p.m. at La Roche.
