STEUBENVILLE, OH - The Lady Barons soccer team of Franciscan University of Steubenville hosted Frostburg on Wednesday afternoon, losing 5-0. With the loss, the Lady Barons finished the season with a record of 6-10-1 (4-6).
The game marked the final game for several Lady Barons who are graduating seniors and grad students: Maryann Krilich, Christyn Dupre, Erin Fitzpatrick, Kaitelin Jensen, Bernadette Schmitt, Tana Vyvlecka, Amanda Gilstrap, Sarah Danaher, and goalkeeper Nikki Traylor.
"It was a good game for my seniors," Lady Barons coach Johann Marin remarked in a post-game interview. "They got a lot of playing time today, and they played very well. Frostburg is a very strong team; they shot well, and all of their goals were hard-earned. We're looking forward to next year, as we try to build upon the things we did right this year and improve in the areas where we lack."
