September 3, 2011 | Women's Soccer Soccer Falls to Waynesburg STEUBENVILLE—The Franciscan University of Steubenville women’s soccer team was coming off of its season opening victory as they hosted Waynesburg University on a hot and muggy Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately for the Lady Barons, they could not make it two straight wins as they were downed by the visiting Lady Yellow Jackets, 3-1. In the first game of the afternoon, the Baron men were shut-out by Waynesburg in their season-opener, 5-0.

June 3, 2011 Alumni, Varsity Catholic and Soccer Head to Haiti OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--The not-for-profit organization, Catholic Sports Camps, has just announced its plan to bring a delegation of soccer-oriented Catholic missionaries to the country of Haiti. It plans to do so in the last week of December 2011. This effort, known officially as Catholic Soccer Missions, will coordinate with a Catholic orphanage in rural Haiti. The orphanage was the brainchild of Louis Merosne, a graduate of the Franciscan University of Steubenville.

On November 15th, 2014 the Lady Barons Basketball faced Bethany College at home. At 8 minutes left in the first half #15 senior, Lacey Huck, scored her 1000th career point. In 2011 to 2012 Huck scored 292 points in the season, 2012-2013 was 375, and 2013-2014 was 329. This came to a total of 996 points going into the game against Bethany College. Huck scored a total of 17 points in the game vs Bethany College.

STEUBENVILLE, OH - There will be some familiar faces in unfamiliar places for Baron athletics during the 2012-2013 season. Three FUS teams will see former assistant coaches take over head coaching duties for their teams.
