Lady Barons Win Final Game of Inaugural Season
STEUBENVILLE – It was a triumphant final game for the Franciscan University’s Lady Baron Tennis team Tuesday afternoon with a 7-2 home court victory over Mount Aloysius College. The Lady Barons wrap up their inaugural season with an overall record of 4-9, and a successful 4-4 standing in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

Women’s Tennis Earns Back-to-Back Player of the Week

Lady Barons Suffer Narrow Defeat to Bethany Bison
STEUBENVILLE – It was a perfect Saturday afternoon for Franciscan University’s Lady Barons to host a tennis match against the Bethany College Bison. Both teams came out strong, but the day was in Bethany’s favor, defeating the Lady Barons 5-4. Franciscan now has an overall season standing of 3-9.

Lady Baron Tennis Team Clinch Home Victory
STEUBENVILLE – Franciscan University’s Lady Barons Tennis team defeated conference opponent La Roche College Friday afternoon in a 5-4 victory. The Lady Barons are now 3-8 overall on the season and 3-4 within the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

A Close Match despite the Score
ALTOONA, Pa. – On Tuesday, the Lady Baron Tennis team of Franciscan University traveled to Penn State Altoona only to fall 8-1 on the day. Despite the heavy defeat, the match was much more competitive among the singles and doubles play.

STEUBENVILLE – Homecoming Weekend proved to be good luck for Franciscan University’s Lady Baron Tennis team. After a six-game losing streak, the Lady Barons defeated the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, 7-2.

STEUBENVILLE – The score isn’t proof of the competition between Franciscan University’s Lady Baron Tennis team and the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Saturday afternoon. The Lady Barons lost the match, 9-0. The team now sits 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

STEUBENVILLE – Franciscan University of Steubenville’s Lady Barons Tennis team suffered another defeat Friday afternoon at the hands of nonconference foe Mount Union College, with a final match score of 9-0. This fifth loss continues their losing streak, and the Lady Barons drop to an overall standing of 1-6.

Lady Baron Tennis Struggles to Find Footing
STEUBENVILLE – The Geneva College Golden Tornadoes strike again as their women’s tennis team took on the Franciscan University of Steubenville Lady Barons on Wednesday for the season opener. Franciscan struggled to find its footing as a brand new team playing its first game ever in FUS history, falling to Geneva, 9-0.
