STEUBENVILLE, Ohio—When Franciscan University’s Lady Baron tennis program began in 2010, the University was still a provisional member of the NCAA and the team had no opportunity to compete in the Alleghany Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship. STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – Three Lady Baron tennis players were named to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference first and second all-conference teams for their outstanding performances during the team’s second season of play. STEUBENVILLE—Franciscan University's homecoming weekend was too much to handle for the Lady Baron tennis team. It hosted La Roche College—an Alleghany Mountain Collegiate Conference team it beat four weeks ago—on Sunday afternoon and suffered a 4-5 loss. It was the biggest crowd of spectators at a home match this season; alumni, parents, and students came to support the Lady Barons on the unusually hot and sunny autumn day. (More)

AMCC Honors Murray as Player of the Week
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio—Completing Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play Tuesday, the Lady Baron tennis walked away from the Mount Aloysius College courts with a 7-2 victory to add to a now eight-game winning streak. Freshman Alanna Murray earned AMCC player of the week honors for her contribution to the success.

Lady Baron Tennis Adds Another Win
BEAVER FALLS, Pa.—With just two matches remaining until the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship, the Lady Baron tennis team is unrelenting; it traveled to Geneva College on Tuesday afternoon and secured a 5-4 win. Franciscan University holds an overall record of 10-2 on the season, a big improvement on last season’s overall record of 4-9. Head coach Jenna Lynch made adjustments to the lineup, giving her players a chance at tougher competition.
