Women's Track Competes at Individual Gator Invite Competition

The women's track and field team completed at the Allegheny College Gator Invitational on May 8. This event was an individual's event and did not include team standings.

The women competed in 10 different events, fairing very well in 800 meter run and 5000 meter run. Junior Monica rust came in 6 of 19 in the 800 while junior Erin Bliss came in second of 17 in the 5000. Bliss was only 1.16 seconds from placing first.

This event closes the end of the 2009 track and field season and the inaugural season for the team. The women's track team would like to thank everyone for their support on the season and look forward to growing the program in years to come.
