Pontarelli, Randall Honored by AMCC and University 6/20/11 | Two Franciscan University seniors were honored at the conference and university level this semester. Track and field student-athlete Julie Randall and baseball player Anthony Pontarelli were recently named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team and honored by Franciscan with the FUS Kuzma Cup Award. Two Franciscan Athletes Compete at ECACs 5/19/11 | Track & Field BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Two of Franciscan University of Steubenville’s top track and field athletes competed in the Eastern College Athletic Conference championship this Thursday at Moravian College. Clinching qualifying times during the season, senior Kailey Gotta and sophomore Bill Jones both ran in the 5,000 meter race and placed midrange out of about 30 runners. (More)

Allegheny Invite Proves Tough Competition for FUS 5/13/11 | Track & Field MEADVILLE, Pa. – Franciscan University of Steubenville’s track and field team participated in the fifth annual Allegheny College Gator Invitational on Friday. This was the final meet for most of Franciscan’s athletes and turned out to be very competitive for everyone involved, especially since it was the last chance for athletes to qualify for the Eastern College Athletic Conference competition. April 23, 2011 Track & Field Breaks Records at Sparky Adams BEREA, Ohio–Franciscan University of Steubenville’s track and field team competed on Saturday at the Sparky Adams Invitational held at Baldwin Wallace College’s George Finnie Stadium. February 19, 2011 First Track Meet Shows Bright Season Ahead BEXLEY, Ohio—Franciscan University of Steubenville’s track and field team headed to their first competition of the season on Saturday, taking part in the Rick Meindl Last Call indoor track competition at Capital University. Showing a promising start for this spring, the Lady Barons finished sixth out of 14 teams with 38 points and the Barons placed 11th out of 16 with 19 points. (More)
